• The Central Referral Hospital is a 500 bedded tertiary care hospital . The hospital has 21 specialties and state of the art equipments. The hospital houses modern amenities of treatment like CT Scan , Ultra Sound , Dialysis Unit , Central Laboratory for various investigations , 24 hrs pharmacy and completely automated and online Hospital Information System .Emergency cases are handled at CRH through a well equipped Casualty department manned by expert clinicians and paramedical staff .The hospital also gives importance to academic activities by conducting CMEs and Conferences.   • It is said that the standards of any enterprise are judged by the quality of its product. The results achieved by our institution speak for itself. This year out of 386 B.Tech students 225 passed out with First Class with Distinction and 124 were placed in First Class. There were only 29 students in Second Class. Thus 90% of B. Tech students passed out with First Class and above. In addition 29 MCA students 44 MBA Students, 7 M.Tech and 13 MSc. Students were successfully passed out under CGPA System.

  • The teacher guardian scheme of the institute is an innovative and unique concept wherein, each student is allotted a specific teacher guardian who provides emotional support, monitors academic performance, provides necessary guidance to the ward and communicates all such details regularly to the parents of the ward.

  • The EDC (SMIT) entered in its fourth phase of activities. It has been conducting various entrepreneurship awareness programmes where self help groups, local people, non teaching staff and students from Dept of Management Studies have been participating. The programme also laid emphasis on medicinal plants and herbs found in Sikkim and computer hardware and networking.
